The client is one of the telecom operators in China mainland with the most complete services, including mobile, long distance, local phone, IP and those enhanced services. The client has provincial companies in more than 30 provinces in China mainland and local branches in cities all over the country, with a user group in 100 millions. In the fierce competition in telecom industry, the client needs to set up a powerful operation supporting system to ensure the services are well operated.

The operation supporting system is a large system running 24 hours a day. The system includes all the service items to the users, and provides services like service accepting, billing, account payment and charging.

The system should have high stability and flexibility. The client request a delivered product of high quality, and it needs to coordinate with other software companies in the whole system development. After the investigation of all the bidding companies, the client assigns the final testing of the system to Microlink, and point Microlink to present the final product report.

As a new integrated company, Microlink needs to accumulate experts in telecom industry, and make this working effectively in the contract execution.

The prime challenge we faced was there were more than 10 software vendors providing their products into this system, and we need to connect all their products and conduct the integration testing and function testing.

Microlink behaved as the final guarantee for the client to control the products’ quality. We keep the engineering standard as “Turn-key”, and constitute the products testing plan, testing criterion, testing case and setting up the testing environment. In the same time, we also assort with the technicians from the client and coordinate their participation in the whole execution.

We delivered the testing report to the client and the software developers respectively, along with the risk analysis and prevention.

The final result we delivered includes data more than 10G,and analysis reports about 5000 pages.

We shorter the clients’ product developing period about 1 year, improve the software quality of 30%. Meanwhile, we provide better designing plan and risk prevention to the software vendors. By using the Microlink’s MLPIM (Microlink PI model), we made it possible for the client to acquire standardized products, and predigest the maintenances process and cut the cost.
